Community Updates: KCP Brawl Wins GKR League

We are well on our way into the 2025 seasons with esports teams and tournaments. Check out the highlights below:

KCP Brawl Wins GKR NA Brawl & Qualifies for July Monthly Finals

One of the largest mid season 3rd party tournaments took place over the course of a few weeks in June & July. It started out with several group stage matches and culminated in a double elimination playoff bracket. The Pioneers topped their group to get one of the top seeds for the playoffs to vie for the lion share of the $5,000 prize pool.

Building momentum throughout the tourney carried over into the playoffs as it marched through the upper bracket with 3-1 victories over SSG, Tribe Gaming, and STMN. STMN got some small revenge when they reached Grand Finals through lowers and took down the Pioneers in a sweep to reset the bracket. The Pioneers showed their resolve to fight back and take a close final set 3-2 to call themselves GKR Champions. 

The Pioneers also continued to look in form to move through the July monthly qualifiers and make the top 8 once again. They will be playing Elevate in the quarterfinals in a massive matchup with world implications on the line as they fight for points.

KCP Takes on Chicago Street Course Race

KCP iRacing took on a rare challenge with one of the few street courses in the series. Casey Kirwan is managing a comfortable spot to lock in the playoffs with Graham Bowlin looking to get a win to secure his spot.

Casey ran smoothly in the top 10 all night. Chicago street course can be a bit difficult to navigate solid passing chances, but Casey made some good moves and played good defense to finish fourth. Graham started outside the top 20 and navigated a couple middle of the pack cautions in moved up a few spots to secure 20th.

Casey currently sits in 5th place, while Graham is in 20th. The next race takes place on July 22nd, at the legendary Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
