Community Updates: QTPG Going to Copenhagen

Pioneers fans,
March is starting strong for the Pioneers. QuikTrip Pioneers Rocket League is in the top 16 global teams that will compete in Copenhagen at the end of the month, with one of our players earning an incredible individual player accomplishment in this past tournament. Stateside, we are preparing for this weekend's Stateline Showdown Series at Planet Comicon in Kansas City. Below are the Pioneers' recent highlights since the last newsletter:

QuikTrip Pioneers Triumph in Oceania Open Qualifier 3: RLCS Major Bound!

The QuikTrip Pioneers have once again showcased their dominance in the competitive Rocket League scene, delivering an outstanding performance in the Oceania Open Qualifier 3, which unfolded between February 24 and March 3. A full recap of the QuikTrip Pioneers' performance can be found here. Their journey through the stages of intense competition demonstrated resilience, strategy, and unwavering determination.

In the initial Double Elimination stage, where the top 48 teams aimed for a coveted top 16 finish, the QuikTrip Pioneers exhibited their strength. They secured a commanding 3-0 victory against Panic eSports and continued their impressive run with another notable 3-0 win against Say Sorry.

Transitioning to the Swiss stage on March 1, the top 16 teams battled for a prized top 8 finisher's position to advance to the playoffs. The Pioneers faced a challenge against Gremlins, experiencing a setback with a 0-3 loss. Undeterred, they rallied, securing victories against NTR (3-0), Young Money Clan (3-1), and The Bus (3-2), securing their position in the top 8 teams and earning their spot in the playoffs. 

Adding to the excitement, QuikTrip Pioneers pro, Amphis, scored his 1,000th goal in the RLCS competition, making him one of 5 players globally to ever achieve such a feat. 

The momentum carried the QuikTrip Pioneers through the Playoffs between March 2-3. In a display of skill and determination, they triumphed over NBN with a resounding 4-0 victory in the quarterfinals. The semifinals brought another test, facing Kaka's Minions and securing a 4-2 victory.

Although the Grand Final ended in a hard-fought 2-4 loss to PWR, the QuikTrip Pioneers' remarkable journey secured a Top 2 finisher's position. This achievement granted them the necessary RLCS points to qualify for the Rocket League Championship Series Major 1 in Copenhagen, Denmark, from March 28 to March 31. The Major will feature the top 16 global teams competing for a share of a $255,000 prize pool.

iRacing x Las Vegas Motor Speedway 

Wyatt Tinsley and Graham Bowlin, the Pioneers eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Series drivers, placed 21st and 12th on February 27 at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. So far, Tinsley is ranked 6th, and Bowlin is ranked 21st among the top 40 iRacing drivers in this season's competition. Their combined rank puts the Pioneers in 7th place of the 20 teams competing this season.
